GoLIte is known for keeping your hiking gear and equipment light.
At just 2.6 pounds (1.19kg), this goose-down filled sleeping bag is great for keeping your backpack light. Yet the Adrenaline Zero does its job very well. It’s designed for sub-zero temperatures at high altitudes.
The 800-fill down in the specifications means that this sleeping bag provides top notch insulation. The higher the number of the down rating the better insulation it provides.
The downside for down is that when it gets wet, it doesn’t do a good job of keeping you warm. The GoLite Adrenaline Sleeping bag is not fully waterproof because of weight concerns by the manufacturer. Waterproof fabric is used only around the top and bottom part of the sleeping bag.
When it comes to performance, we recommend that you only use the Adrenaline Zero if its really cold because you may find that it can get really hot inside.
The zipper runs down to the waist instead of right down to your feet, probably another way to reduce weight. Some hikers find this annoying because the zipper doesn’t help much in warmer weather where you would want to open up the zipper a little bit more to let the heat out.
The Women’s version won the Backpacker Magazine Editor’s Choice Award back in 2008 so they confirm what we thought about the Adrenaline series. It’s pretty good warmth for weight.
