Adidas’ re-entry into the outdoor industry is fairly recent but so far they’ve not failed to deliver great innovation and design. One great example is the TERREX Fast R Solo hiking boot. It looks great and has some noteworthy innovations.
The sole is made of sticky rubber in collaboration with major tyre brand, Continental, and has overlapping plates in the heel area to add control and dampen blows on steep mountain descents. In the midsole area of each heel, the plates can slide forward or laterally depending on the angle of contact to reduce heel-to-toe velocity and equalize contact on uneven ground. The sole is not only designed for optimal grip even in wet conditions with superior adhesion at high speeds but also to reduce stress on the knee and heel, adidas claims.
Gore-Tex lining keeps the waterproof, super protective and supportive for rugged mountain terrain, Terrex Fast R Solo comfortable. If you like to go fast on the trail, this is the one to get.
Definitely one of the best gear at the Summer Outdoor Retailer trade show 2011.
