Making coffee with the Perfect Brew Cone from Melitta is one of the cheapest ways of making great tasting coffee fairly quickly. The resulting coffee is reportedly good enough even for some of those who are picky about their coffee. At least it’s good enough that professionals at the Blue Bottle Coffee in San Francisco use the same method but with a much more expensive, ceramic version of the Perfect Brew Cone to make coffee.
The Perfect Brew Cone is also portable, lightweight and easy to clean, which makes it perfect for camping. You can make coffee in 60 seconds by putting in a coffee filter cone with some coffee in it to your liking and then pouring in some hot water.
One thing I don’t like about the Perfect Brew Cone is that it uses disposable filters. I know they’re cheap and easily available but it’s still a bit of an inconvenience. What if you forgot to bring some coffee filters when you’re out camping?
Still, the Perfect Brew Cone is not a bad option for making great tasting camping coffee.
