National Geographic Adventure Gear of the Year 2010

National Geographic Adventure picked 32 outdoor gear and tech as the best of the year for their design and innovation including an electric motorcycle with tax credit and photochromatic sunglasses that react to visible light as opposed to just UV light.

19 of the 32 are camping and backpacking gear:

Arc’teryx Alpha SV

It’s easier to handle stuff with the Alpha because it allows a sense of touch with the tips.

Julbo Zulu Falcon

Julbo’s Zulu Falcon reacts to visible light and is polarized.

Softshell jackets are great because they’re lightweight and highly breathable.

Gerber Bear Grylls Knife
